  1. If god wanted to send a message, couldn’t he just have put it in big letters along the Port Hills? I mean, the earthquake was really scary, and if god made it he does NOT seem like a cool dude. It was a ‘miracle’ that nobody was killed (do I hear rigorous building codes) but wouldn’t it have been better that there was no earthquake at all? Also, although the city is called Christchurch (now) it is full of unbelievers so why didn’t he just smoke the place, and why did he kill so many Haitians when they are very religious? This makes no sense. If god wants us to be scared of him he’s going about it all wrong.

  2. Hi,The photo of the Cathedral looks to me like it was taken late 1950s. Judging by the clothes on pelope and the bus. I was born in Christchurch and have fond memories of visiting the Cathedral, putting a present under the very large Christmas tree in the Cathedral. My father was a choir boy there, around 1920.Margaret.
