Victors not Victims


 

Be brave in battle, be humble in life.

In all things give glory to Jesus.

In the clarity of the day

and even, in the uncertainty of the night.

 

Why do you declare the good of you?

Has arrogance made residence in your heart?

Be fearless in tribulation;

Go! And in my name, take the land.

 

Persevere when all is lost,

Persevere without complaint,

Persevere when hope is injured,

Persevere only in My Name.

 

Stand and walk on water

And don’t follow the feet that sank.

Come after My Holiness;

Come after My Way of life.

  

My Holiness is the Way;

the only way that will give you life.

Don’t be fooled by world.

Give your soul to Christ.

 

Give Me your life and trust Me;

Give Me your life and don’t hold back.

Come after Me and love Me

More than you love your own life.

 

I know of your tears,

I know of your pain.

I know of all the injustices,

But nothing will be in vain.

 

I hold your dreams close to My Heart;

I hold your whole life in My hands.

I Am who will turn everything around.

Be humble and not arrogant.

    Someone once said, “humility is not thinking too highly of yourself or to low of yourself; humility is not thinking of yourself at all.” So how can we be brave in battle and humble in life? God’s answer! Romans 12:3-8

    Who are you?
    “For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith” (v. 3).

    Where do you belong?
    “For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another” (vv.4-5).

    What are you supposed to do?
    “Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness” (vv.6-8).

    Paul wants us to think accurately about ourselves. He understands that there is danger in seeing ourselves not only with an inflated view of ourselves, but also with a deflated view.

    When people think to highly of themselves, it always results in conflict and disunity. And when others think to low of themselves their warped perception of themselves keep themselves prisoners. And at the end of the day, whether it is high or low, an inaccurate view of ourselves results in pride. Because pride, put most simply, is a preoccupation and focus on ourselves.

    May the glory of Christ beckon us to see ourselves as God sees us. May the measure of faith that God has given you allow you to see who you really are in Christ.

    May the peace of Christ inspire you,
    the provision of Christ attend you,
    the power of Christ enliven you,
    the purpose of Christ engage you.

    May the God who provided Christ all these benefits
    provide them also to us,
    that we may go into the world
    with Him lavish generosity
    and His creative purpose.
