The Flood is Coming!

According to the Creation Tips website:

“The Ark of Noah’s dimensions were at least 135 meters long (300
cubits), 22.5 meters wide (50 cubits), and 13.5 meters high (30 cubits). That’s
450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high! It could have been larger,
because several larger-sized cubits were used. However, the 45-centimeter
(18-inch) cubit is long enough to show the enormous size of the Ark. (A cubit
was the length of a man’s arm from fingertips to elbow.) Noah’s Ark was three
stories high (Genesis 6:16). Its total deck area was equivalent to the area of about 20
standard college basketball courts or 36 lawn tennis courts.” (

For the known world, the Ark of Noah was a big, ridiculous boat! It took
Noah and his sons about one hundred years to finish it. During that time, we know
that nobody got saved; nobody received the message that a great flood was
coming. Yet, this was indeed, a very impressive boat! The Ark also had two
kinds (male and female) of every known animal. For the eatable animals, we find
that Noah was to store seven pairs.

What is the point that I am trying to make? Noah’s Ark was smelly, was
messy and with all of those animals, it would be fair to say that the ark
looked like a jungle. That, my friends, is the condition of the church today!
The church is messy, it skinks, it looks crazy, disorganized, big and at times…yes;
ridiculous! However, make no mistake about it, when the rain started coming
down and the waters started to rise, the world understood very quickly that
there was no better place to be than in the ark. God, however, closed the door;
so, only Noah, his wife, three sons and their wives were saved from the flood. Only
eight people out of the world’s population at the time were saved.

Beloved, very difficult times are awaiting the world; but no other
institution will survive; only the church will. Grab a shovel, grab a broom and
all the cleaning supplies you can put your hands on and get to work. The flood
is coming, the flood is coming, the flood is coming! And at that hour, nobody
outside of the church will survive. Whether you prefer to meet at homes or in a
building, unless that church is preaching a different Gospel, stay, serve, grow
and mature. Stop using the mess in the church as an excuse to stay out of
fellowship. By the way, you and I are a part of that mess, for the church is
not a building, the church is us.

“And I tell you
that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of
Hades will not overcome it.”
