The Glory of God is Coming

“When Solomon finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the
burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the LORD filled the temple.
The priests could not enter the temple of the LORD because the glory of the
LORD filled it. When all the Israelites saw the fire coming down and the glory
of the LORD above the temple, they knelt on the pavement with their faces to
the ground, and they worshiped and gave thanks to the LORD, saying, “He is
good;

his love endures forever.” (2 Chronicles 7:1-3)

The smoke of the manifested glory
of God is coming; the smoke is evidence that something is being burned. This
morning, as I stepped outside, I saw smoke everywhere; I knew that the fire was
getting closer! I find it very interesting that after Solomon prayed and the
glory of God filled the temple, the Bible tells us that: “The priests could
not enter the temple of the LORD because the glory of the LORD filled it.”
The
Lord showed me as I was praying that He is going to release His glory, but that His glory will not allow our
ideas of church, as we know it, to enter.

“For the time will come, and it
is indeed very near, where many churches will lose control of their services
and that will be a good thing. For where my glory is, there is no space for
Men’s Religion; there is no space for your worthless Order of the Services and
for your un-anointed prepackaged sermons. The smoke of my glory is going to
fill My people’s hearts and they will humble themselves before Me, they will
worship Me and they will understand the center of My character. For I Am Good,
for I Am Love and I Am Merciful! says the Living God. You have shut down my
prophets in your services and my people are discouraged, hurt, tired, confused
and bored. Did I not say through my son Paul: ‘follow the way of love and
eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy?’ (1 cor. 14:1).
You
have abandoned the way of love and just like the Pharisees you want to now
control my people. The Spirit of Prophesy is no longer welcome in my house;
through prophecy I edify my children; I encourage them, I guide them and
correct them; but You keep insisting on running your local churches like the
world runs their businesses. Many of you are worshiping your denominations; but
I come to destroy your religious ways. My glory is coming, my glory is coming
and when that hour is here, your ideas of church will not be allow to enter.
For the church in America has failed to let go and let Me have control; for the
church in America have promoted the wrong idea of who I Am. You call yourself
“spirit filled,” but you are dead. But my glory is coming, my glory is coming
and I will fill the hearts of my people and they will no longer be bound by
sin.”

  1. For my blood was not shed in vain. My cross I endured for love. I call you to a place of examination and humility. A place of healing and restoration. For my grace is pure and my love is endless for you. There is nothing that I cannot cover. There is nothing that I cannot remove out of the way that would hold my people. For I am faithful and I am true. Trust in my love. Trust in my forgiveness.

  2. It is amazing that throughout the Old Testament and New Testament when the Lord showed up mans response is nearly always the same – they bow down. Now this is not true when Jesus was physically here on earth but when the Lord takes control of someones heart, when people repent of their sins, when they confess the sins that they have hidden and they release their lives in full to His control, they fall on their faces before HIM.
It may be circular reasoning but our church worship services will never change until individual Christians learn how to worship God on an individual basis. Worship throughout Scripture is demonstrated through three primary ACTS: reading of God’s Word, praying (in some manner) and then singing. It is interesting that singing is not ALWAYS seen when worship occurs. However, we humans always make singing the focus our worship. Just interesting.
My prayer for the people God has given me to lead is that they do not learn how just to worship corporately but that they learn how to worship individually. If their hearts don’t worship outside the church then their worship inside the church will be fake. God cares about the heart!
Remember at the end of the day- the church with all her faults and failures still belongs to the Lord. It is His Bride.
Thanks for the reminder of this passage of Scripture.
