"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:" 1 Peter 3:15 (KJV)
Are You At Your Final Destination In This Dimension of Life?
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” John 14:12-14 NKJV
The first question that crossed my mind as I read these verses is: Are we all destined to do something extraordinary? According to these verses, Jesus answered: “Most assuredly.” If you have been a Christian for more than a year and you are doing nothing for the Lord, you are out of God’s will. God will indeed hold you accountable for not doing what you where supposed to do with the gifts He has given you. In Matthew 25:24-30 Jesus used some very strong words for the servant that did not use his talent:
“24 “Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’
26 “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. 27 So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. 28 Therefore take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents.
29 ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’” NKJV
We are called to do the greater works because we are doing it through Him and not in our own strength, the Holy Spirit dwells in us and because Jesus is going to the Father on our behalf as our Intercessor and as our Attorney. Up to this point, people pray to God the Father, but Jesus was establishing that now prayer was about to be more effective as we now are able to approach the Father in the Name that is above every name (Philippians 2:9-11) Beloved, are you stuck? God is in the business of taking us from glory to glory, from revelation to revelation; from level to level…our goal is to be like Christ…how far do we have to go to get there?
Beloved, some of you must pack your things and move to another country, to another city, a different town, to get that job offer, to start the ministry God already gave you the tools to start, to leave that dead church that turned their backs on the Holy Ghost long time ago…it is time to go and do what God has called you to do. We are called to be faithful to God above men, to do His will and not to be trapped in the ways of the world and the manipulation of man-made religion. In Matthew 25:21 Jesus said: “You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.” We must allow God to do what He wants to do in us and through us. We must stop allowing the fears of failure consume our will and we must stop being satisfied and comforted with the status quo of mediocrity.
An independent thinker with a profound call to see the orthodoxy of the church and passion for Christ manifesting together. Angel was born in Brooklyn, New York in April of 1968, he was raised on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico where he earned his B.S. degree in Sociology with a minor in Education from the Inter American University in San Germán in 1991. That same year he moved to Jacksonville, Florida. After working construction jobs for a year and learning the English language, his first job working with foster-care children in the capacity of youth care worker was with Jacksonville Youth Sanctuary in September of 1992. With JYS he was promoted several times as group home supervisor, legal caseworker, and program director.
While in Jacksonville, Angel studied a couple of martial arts styles. After earning his black belt, he became the founder of Good Fight Ministries as he used martial arts as an instrument to preach the gospel. In 2004 Angel was selected Martial Arts Instructor of the Year for the State of Florida and in 2005 Angel was inducted in the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame where he also received the Christian Spirit Award. In July of 2005 Angel accepted his call to pastor a bilingual church in Winton, NC where he served for a couple of years. Five months later he lost his first wife to cancer in December of that same year. This initiated a deep valley of suffering in his life, a mountain of costly mistakes and the embracing of lifestyles of sin that are well documented through this blog.
In August of 2012 Angel moved to Fairbanks Alaska with his wife Rayette Casiano and six children who are now adults. In Alaska, Angel continued his social work-related career and his ministry of preaching, teaching and writing. Angel is the author of two books, Hope for the divorcee: Forgiving and Moving Forward and 7 Banderas de Esperanza: La Bendición de Yokdzonot. In January 8th of 2020 Angel and his wife moved to Arizona.
