Christians: Have We Become Good For Nothing?

Christians, do not get involved in the political argument; do not waste energy discussing new policies and how God was kicked out of public schools. The world doesn’t know any better, they can’t see the light of the Gospel, for the Bible tells us in Second Corinthians 4:1-4

Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.” NKJV

Don’t look at them, let’s look at ourselves; we are the salt and light of this earth. We are the only ones with the power to overcome evil. In Mathew 5:13-14 Jesus tells us:

“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. 14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.” NKJV

Beloved, when we do not share the Gospel, we are good for nothing; we must stop hiding the Light of God’s truth. Many will hate and reject us, but many also will come to repentance and make Jesus their Savior and Lord. Jesus is telling us today:

“Go and minister the Gospel to the lost; go and make disciples, go and turn your hearts to your sons and daughters, go and surrender to my Spirit, go in HIS power, go and prophecy! I am the answer, says the Lord, why are you arguing the Second Amendment? Why are you running to Radio Personalities for wisdom? Why you keep focusing on the world? They can’t see me! But remember my words:

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” John 3:16-17 NKJV
