Christmas, Phil Robertson and Homosexuality
I am going to speak from my heart as I always do. Our faith as Christians is under attack and it will get worse; that is because Satan is the god of this world. (2 Corinthians 4:4)
Everything that belongs to the world belongs to Satan. With the deterioration of society we will continue to see the law of the land accommodating sin. We as Christians are wasting our time fighting against these laws. This is not our home and this is not our world. The Bible tells us in John 15:19,
If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. (NKJV)
I see so much political correctness going on; nobody wants to speak the truth anymore. The great prophets of the Old Testament, the original apostles and many others were murdered in horrible ways for standing for the truth of our God. They die for what they believe, not for compromising with the world.
We think we are going to win people for Jesus by being cowards, trying not to offend anybody and dance around key questions that the world is asking. Is Jesus the only way? Yes He is and without Him you are going to hell. Sorry, it is not my message; it is the Word of God. You have a constitutional right to reject that truth. As I said before, you have the right to go to hell.
If you want to fired me, if you want to put me in jail, even if you want to kill me, I am prepared to die for the Gospel.
The world wants to know about homosexuality?Homosexuality is a sin; I don’t care what Oprah Winfield, Pierce Morgan and Hollywood has to say, it is sin and it will never be Biblically acceptable.
I understand that it is not the only sin, but I don’t see the thief fighting for his rights. I don’t see the adulteress trying to make adultery legal in Virginia. But these are the times when evil agendas will rise up and change the law.
Our constitution is not the Bible and our founding fathers are not Jesus. They gave us a system that can be changed and it is indeed changing before our eyes. If you as a man want to get married with another man, go ahead; keep fighting to do so. It may be politically correct to accept homosexuality as a way of life, but it is not Biblically sound.
I can hear some “cheese ball ministers” saying, but Angel we must love everybody. To that I respond that the Bible tells me that love delights in the truth (I Corinthians 13:6). There is no Evangelism without truth. Without truth you are just bringing people into your little fancy religious feel-good experience where nobody is really changing, where everybody is free to do whatever they want, where sin is never addressed and holiness is never preached about.
My dear brothers and sister let the law of the land change, but don’t let it change you. Get that nativity scene up as your Christmas decoration, tell people the truth about homosexuality, take them to the Scripture and point these verses out to them and stand with brother Phil Robertson.
Is time for us to understand that if we are going to get in trouble lets get in trouble for Jesus. I don’t really watch the show, but I admire Phil Robertson for not dancing around the question and telling the true. My respect for you and your family.
