"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:" 1 Peter 3:15 (KJV)
A Word for the Head of a Rebellious Home
34 “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. 35 For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’; 36 and ‘a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.’ 37 He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38 And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 39 He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it. Matthew 10:34-39 (NKJV)
I strongly believe that we are in the historical and prophetic center of the realization of these words. Beloved, as I heard said so many times, Christianity is free, but it will cost you everything.
God is a jealous God and HE will not take second place in our hearts. These Bible verses will become a reality when God’s people become passionate about God’s holiness.
But this word is specifically to the Men of God who are pursuing God’s holiness. This word is for the head of a rebellious home.
Your whole family will indeed become your worst enemy when you start establishing that you and your house will serve the Lord. When you tell your daughters that they will not be dressed like prostitutes, when you tell them that they will not be dating. When you tell your children the truth about God’s holiness. When you tell your family we will not be watching that movie and we will not listen to that garbage… oh yes, if your family is a spiritual family they will love you, but if they are a unspiritual bunch they will indeed become your worst enemy.
At that hour, let your wife and children rebel against God and against you; do not compromise. Keep loving and keep holding on to the truth. Loving our family more than God will disqualify us from God’s promises. It is a rejection to Him and a direct disrespect against you as the man of God in that house. If they do rebel against, you don’t be surprise, people curse God and reject Him every day. Stay strong! Keep praying, keep loving, keep trying and don’t loose hope.
