Bengazhi, I Want Answers!

THE-4-AMERICANS-KILLED-IN-BENGHAZI2

Bengazhi is not about politics for me. From the first time I heard of the murders of these four Americans I felt pain in my heart and actually cried. These men asked for help and help was denied. The Democrats make it sound like there is no need for another investigation and lets face it; we have plenty of Americans that don’t care about these kinds of things, because, after all, it’s not like they lost a family member. Many have become desensitized, but we still have some basic foundational questions here. Congressman Trey Gowdy is asking all the right questions and I am looking forward for each one of those questions to be answered.

I recommend that you take a look at this short video and let me know if you have the answer to these questions:

Abusando del Perdón de Dios

gods-grace

“Los sacrificios de Dios son el espíritu quebrantado;
Al corazón contrito y humillado no despreciarás tú, oh Dios.” (Reina Valera 1960)

I Vote For Doctors Over Attorneys In Washington

JulyAug-2008-Lawyers-Rule-Doctors-Drool-balance-drawing

Let me just say this and I mean no disrespect! If you are an attorney please don’t get offended! I believe that one of the main problems we are having in Washington is that attorneys, for far too long, have controlled it.

See, attorneys, in essence, defend people, many of them guilty. So they are the best liars. An attorney expertise is not necessarily to follow the law, but how to manipulate the law. The manipulation of the law is what makes them successful. Have you ever ran into a situation where a law allows or prohibit something and you go, WHAT? There is an attorney behind that nonsense!

Now, not all attorney and lawyers are like that, there are so many honest ones out there, but I am talking specifically about the ones in Washington.

On the other hand, a successful doctor is somebody that saves lives and a successful architect is in the business of building. This is just to mention two professions, there are more. It is time for change. Don’t you think? I can tell you this, in 2016, if a successful doctor runs for office, he has my vote.

To My Mom

10258430_10152371074448329_8633809659187094429_o

Wow, a mom, what a powerful person! You can mess up in life and believe me; everybody will give up on you, but mom! If your mom gave up on you, you really, really mess up!

The older I get, the more I learn to value my mom. The reality is that nobody have shown me more Agape love on this earth than my mom. She knows the good; she knows the bad and the ugly in me. I can be thousands of miles away from her and she can still sense in her spirit when I am struggling, when I am sad, upset…it is truly amazing!

A true mother is not selfish, does not position her self in the center of everything and do not brag about her, but about her children. She always prefers her children’s wellbeing over her own. She pays attention to her children’s lives. By the way, no mater how old you get, you are still a child before her eyes; that can be annoying at times, but she can’t help it, she is a mom.

In a time where there is a crisis of everything, including mothers, how bless I am to know that my mom is still alive and that she is all what a mom should be.

She was there and took care of me as a baby, she took the time to teach me how to read and write, she was there in my sports, my music, she was there in my pain, my failures, in tragedies, in divorce, in good times and in terrible times. As I moved from Puerto Rico to Florida as a young man, as I moved to North Carolina and now to Alaska, I have found friends, new friends and many people who were a part of my life for a season, but my mother has been the constant; always there for me.

Thank you mom for not giving up on me, for your wisdom and sincerity. Thank you for not divorcing my dad back in the days when you had a reason to do so. You considered us and stayed…I am glad you did! Oh, I know, I did not always listen to you and for that I pay a painful price, but that was not your fault, but mine. Happy mother’s day and everyday!

The Honest Words of a Frustrated Preacher

Discovering-Practical-Spirituality-Photo-of-Man-Thinking-Against-a-Marvelous-Sunset

How do you stay faithful to God’s people as you stand in disagreement with our current church leadership? Have we become like the church of Constantine; Looking good and prosperous from the outside, but abandoning God’s Word on the inside? A time where the word of a man was considered level with the Word of God. Are we the institutionalized church of today, the church that everybody can see, but in reality is not the true bride of Christ?

What is it that I can do? I am a simple preacher who grew up in a small town in Puerto Rico. I am nobody; I have no power and I have no influence. Should I start a new local church? Should I start a new denomination? Does the world need a new expression of this thing we call the church? Is division the only answer? Is there anybody out there that feels the way I feel?

How do you stay faithful to God’s people as you stand in disagreement with our current church leadership? I am so dissatisfied, I am so fed-up, so tired of the hypocrisy, the Business Network-like approach to church as the substitution to the Apostolic order.

What about the “heroes” of our faith today? They are television stars, with their fancy houses, fancy clothing and fancy life-styles. They are cowards who spread their demonic doctrine of materialism. They are false prophets and teachers who deny Jesus’ Gospel to rather be friends with the world. All they speak about is money. They have members as if they are a part of a prestigious social club, but no desire to make disciples or to be disciples for that matter. They seek buildings over the power available to transform lives.

Their message is empty and un-anointed sounding more like motivational speakers and not like the ambassadors of God’s Word that they are supposed to be. The focus is on what can we get. The focus is Me, Myself and I. They moved away from sacrifice and the confrontation of sin; those kinds of messages could affect their “Bottom Line.” Ya know! That is because the Word is no longer the center of their message, but they offer themselves as the main event.

How do you stay faithful to God’s people as you stand in disagreement with our current church leadership? Am I looking for perfection? How can I demand a perfection that I don’t have? But I am looking for a man who is willing to follow God, a man who is willing to humble himself before the prophet when sin is revealed. Where is such man? I don’t see one, not one that is willing to place God above their denominational ideologies, not one that is willing to bring down the walls of his own pride.

How do you stay faithful to God’s people as you stand in disagreement with our current church leadership? I don’t know, perhaps I am the problem! Who am I, after all, to even ask these questions?

The Address of Failure “A Short Reflection”

Have you ever seen the part of you that never moves out of the address of failure? I have seen the worst of me, moments and seasons that I wish to take out the pages of my story. I thank God for his love manifested in discipline, mercy and grace. But today, I am here for you, willing to share my story. Hoping that you learn valuable lessons from the mountains, deserts and valleys of my testimony. I write my heart; I write my pain, my dreams, my frustration, revelations and I even look at political facts. In all, I hope, that your eyes do not focus on me, but that you see me pointing at the God that deserves all the glory.

Prayer Expectations

In prayer, our eyes are open to revelation. In prayer, confusion is pulverize. In prayer, we receive instructions. Prayer is not about doing what we want and, prayer is definitely not about doing nothing, prayer is about doing strictly what God says to do. Prayer is not just a religious exercise foreign to our daily lives. Prayer is designed as the greatest tool given to humanity to affect our hearts, our families, our local churches and the nations of the world. If you are really praying, nothing will remain the same. Something is already changing when we pray!

When Is It Time to Make Decisions, Follow Instructions, or to Lead?

command-performance-infuential-ceos-good-leader1

As Christians we must discern between making decisions, following instructions and leading. We must be about God’s business; we must be doers of God’s Word according to James 1:22,

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. (KJV)

When God’s will has been revealed to us through His Word and we still insist in doing whatever we want to do, we are deceiving ourselves; in other words, we are fooling ourselves.

God’s Word must be the first and last Word. In between the first and last word we are waiting for confirmation. That is what Matthew 18:16,

But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. (KJV)

There are things that are clear in the Bible, things that we do not need to pray for. We do not need to pray for God to give us a perfect opportunity to kill somebody, to steal something or to have sex with our neighbor’s wife. Praying for these things is totally ridiculous.

There are also situations that are very clear in the Bible in terms of what to do; we just need to do what the Word says. However, there are times when we are in the midst of making decisions, where to go? Accepting a job, moving out of town, etc. It is here that we must take the time to discuss and wait on the confirmation of the Lord.

What about leading? When do we lead? When the will of God has been revealed through His Word and everybody around you is paralyzed by their own pride, fears, personal agendas, ignorance and/or laziness somebody must take the lead and be bold enough to insist on the truth of God’s Word. Somebody must refuse to compromise.

What about you? Have you received your instructions already? Then go and do what the Lord told you to do with boldness. Are you in the midst of making a decision? Wait on that confirmation. On the other hand, it may be your time to lead. You keep waiting for others to act, for something to change, for somebody else to take charge. Is it your time to lead? Don’t be a coward, don’t be afraid and go and lead; for the sake of souls, lead!!!!

Think Twice Before Inviting Me to Preach at Your Church

IMG_1138

There are problems in every local church, ministry or movement. I have seen plenty of that! What is very rare is to find a pastor or a leader who is willing to crucify his/her pride, free themselves from their denominational prisons and radically and with no compromise follow the whole counsel of God’s Word. It is indeed a frustrating thing when, even after truths is shown and confirmed in God’s Word, these men and women insist in following error.

I am not perfect and I be the first one to share my shameful sins and failures as lessons to stay and pursue the righteous path of our God. I have fail many times, but the God I serve will never fail in anything.

God’s mercy in my life has been too amazing for me to turn my back on HIM just so that I can gain your favor. My challenge is to communicate these message in love, but the message does not change because of you.

To this I may add, that if you are a pastor and you are considering inviting me to preach at your church, know that I will preach what the Lord tells me to preach and not necessarily what you want to hear. I love pastors and leaders who faithfully serve in the local church and I love God’s people in general. However, my loyalty is to God’s truth and not to your denomination, manipulations and political correctness. So you may want to think twice before inviting me to preach at your church.
