The God that I serve is the Creator, Almighty and All-knowing. He made us out of the dust. He made a whole nation out of one old man and his wife Sarah. He delivered Israel out of the hands of Egypt, who was the most powerful nation at the time. He gave us the example of countless men and women in the Bible as throughout history they did great and might things in His name. Do you agree that there is nothing impossible for God?
My heart is broken as I see our children falling behind in education; even scoring last in some categories. No other nation spends more money in education, but where are the results? My heart is greatly broken as I see my own people, Blacks and Hispanics, falling even further.
We as Hispanics and Blacks are still the minority, however, when it comes down to poverty, in every single state, we are the first or second, without exception.
Why is that? Why such awful statistics? I can hear many blaming racism; but I can’t blame racism; why? Because, even as racism does exist, we already established at the beginning of this article the greatness and unlimited power of God.
Beloved, our issue is an issue of laziness; we continue waiting on the government or others to do for us, what God can do through us.
The Bible tells us in Proverbs 10:4, “Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.” (NIV) Our children are wasting their times on their phones texting all day long and submerging in social media. They are reading, but they are reading foolishness; vampires, fornication, demonism, designed to destroy them. Proverbs 6:9-11 tells us,
How long will you lie there, you sluggard?
When will you get up from your sleep?
A little sleep, a little slumber,
a little folding of the hands to rest—
and poverty will come on you like a thief
and scarcity like an armed man. (NIV)
You may say, well Angel that is Old Testament Stuff. If you are thinking that way that means that you obviously missed 2 Thessalonians 3:10,
“For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.” (NKJV)
The Bible tells us that God is the same yesterday, today and forever, (Hebrews 13:8), that means that His power is as available today as it was during the times of the Creation, during the times of Abraham, David and many others.
Poverty is destroying our society. Proverbs 18:9 tell us, “He who is slothful in his work is a brother to him who is a great destroyer.”
Beloved, do you believe God? He tells us in Jeremiah 28:11, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (NKJV) This verse applies to us to, my dear black and Hispanic Brother.
I am calling Christians to get ahead; we have no excuse, we have the Almighty God on our side!!!!!
