(RVR 1960)

A Word for my Latino, Black and Native American Brothers

Spiritual freedom is only found in Christ, but the freedom that I am going to talk about in this article is a different kind of freedom. It is the freedom to come and go, the freedom to do whatever you want or not and, whenever you want. This is also the freedom to own your own consequences… good or bad.

I will call that freedom, your basic earthly freedom. This earthly freedom is not free. As a matter of fact, to the degree that you are able to pay your own way, to that same degree, your freedom will be able to expand, be limited or even disappear. You legally qualify for this freedom at 18 years of age, but some have gained this freedom at younger ages.

In order to understand what I am talking about; take a moment to answer the following questions: Do you pay for your place of residence? Do you buy your own food? Do you buy your own hygiene products? Do you pay for your own transportation? Do you pay for your cell phone? Do you pay for the electricity you enjoy? Should I keep going?

If you pay for these things, you are free. If you chose not to pay for these things, but decide to be an Alaskan mountain man who works hard to survive in the wild, you are still free. However, if others are paying for you to live, then you are still a slave. You will never be free as long as others are paying for you to make a living.

This is the issue that is killing many of us Latinos, many of us Blacks and many Native Americans. The enemy has convinced many of us that we can’t make it without government assistance, that someone must pay our way. Many of us have even developed an entitlement mentality where we feel somebody MUST help us. We better learn what the Scripture say,

For even when we were with you, this we commanded you: that if any would not work, neither should he eat. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 (KJV)

You have the freedom to do whatever you want to do with your life, but in order to stop being a slave you must work hard to depend on no one but God. Proverbs 22:7 tells us,

The rich rules over the poor,

And the borrower is servant to the lender. (NKJV)

African-American-Male2

As long as somebody is paying the bills that you are supposed to be paying, you will never be free. As long as the government is your hope, you will never be free; this means that you will never see the fullness of your potential in God. I don’t have all the answers, but I know that there is something amazing God wants to do with Latinos, Afro-Americans and Native Americans.

aged-latino-man-smiling-camera-20147222

I tell my people: We are able; with God’s help we are able. Through racism, discriminations and whatever obstacles the enemy throw at us, we are able in God. This dependency mix with this sense of entitlement is a sin, is a lack of faith, a lack of trust in our God. This is a call for my Latino and my Afro and Native Americans brothers to believe that the last shall be first (Matthew 20:16). It starts with us MEN!

“Mi Respuesta a Donald Trump”

“The Mexican-American War (1846-1848) marked the first U.S. armed      conflict chiefly fought on foreign soil. It pitted a politically divided and   militarily unprepared Mexico against the            expansionist-minded States         had a “manifest destiny” to spread across the continent to the Pacific             Ocean.”

God is Enough!

gods-creation

We can’t escape the arrogance of the secular world system. It is all around us. They set their degrees, their certifications, licensing, federal programs, systems, entertainment industry, fashion, etc. In all, no mention, not even a small acknowledgment of God All Mighty. That is so because the devil is the god of this world system according to 2 Corinthians 4:4. You want to know why things are so messed up. That is because we are not under a system dominated by Godly principles, but to the contrary, a system that is designed to promote the destruction of societies, families and lives in general. The devil’s agenda is a destructive agenda (John 10:10).

The sad thing is when we, as God’s people, go after the validation of the world, when we as God’s people, reject God and His ways to follow a failed system. This is nothing new, it was the same spirit that seduced the children of Israel to asked for a king (First Samuel 8)

Have you noticed that the world system is not about results? From the beginning it is what it is, an unfinished tower (Genesis 11). They are good in addressing issues, but pitiful in fixing anything. That is because they totally reject God’s intervention. On the other hand, God is a God of results. The Bible tells us in First John 2:27,

But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.(NKJV)

I do not promote ignorance. It is a Biblical mandate for God’s people to study and show ourselves approved (2 Timothy 2:15). But the moment we lose sight of God and place our hope in anything else, but God, we become a part of this world system. It is the anointing of God that breaks the yoke, not the secular system. (Isaiah 10:27) The anointing of God is effective. Let’s talk about that world system. This world system has a beginning and his end is coming.

  • It all started in heaven with Satan wanting to be like God (Isaiah 14:14).
  • It was introduced in the Garden as Satan, in the form of a serpent effectively questioned what God established as truth. (Genesis 3)
  • And, it took off in the Tower of Babel as the enemy used a man by the name of Nimrod (Genesis 10:10 / Genesis 11)
  • It continues powerfully through our days as the Babylonian system and it will continue until the end of this age. Its destruction is a Biblical reality. Revelation 18:1-4 tells us,

And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.(KJV)

We, as God’s people, are not called to hate people that are not saved. We are not called to walk around as ignorant people who hate education or people who stay in hiding. We are the ambassadors of God’s light. We carry the truth; we carry the power and the effective solution for the main problem facing our world today, sin. Our only hope is Jesus. We are called to surrender our lives totally to Him, and to refuse to mix with the world system. Beloved, God is enough.

After Two Years in Alaska

1618222-Downtown_Fairbanks_on_the_Chena_River-Fairbanks(1)

On a few days, specifically on August 17, I will be celebrating two years since I arrived in Alaska. It has not being easy at all. As I meditated in those two years, I felt this word in my spirit.

For some time the teachings coming out of the church focused on “doing” for God. These were the days of people “going” to church almost daily. Getting involved in a million ministries to the point of burning out. They spend so much time in church and doing ministry that they had no time for anything else.

Then, the focus changed to signs and wonders. People focus so much on the signs and wonders of revival that they also forgot about family and more tragically, they forgot about God and the sound doctrine of God’s Word. The drunk in the Holy Ghost, bam, bam!, fire, people falling and the laughing everywhere generation, but very little fruit after the One-Week-Revival was over.

Today, the focus is on what we can get from God. Yes, these are the days of the prosperity gospel and the gospel that focus on us. These are the days of the church trying to look so hip that they are gradually minimizing the authority of God’s Word and maximizing feelings and wants. These are the days of hyping denominations; some people speak so much about their denomination, that you can’t see Jesus anymore. This is also the church of titles as if those can give you the anointing to break yokes. A lot of image, but no power!

These are the days of the politically correct and corrupt church that is in bed with the secular ideologies of the days for the sake of power, money and prestige. This church does not talk about sin and leave out anything in the Bible that could be offensive. Not all they are teaching is false, some is actually very good; but that is actually a part of their strategy. They mix truth with lies; but to this church God is giving Revelation 18:1-4 to consider,

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. (KJV)

What about focusing on surrendering ourselves more and more to Him? What about enjoying the simplicity of true fellowship with one another? I say, let us embrace our cross and die daily; let us rejoice in our afflictions and let us prosper as our souls prosper. But beyond all that, let us love God above all things. That is the first commandment and the one we violate the most.

Let us love God above what we can do, above what He can do and above what He can give us. Beloved, is about surrendering our lives to Jesus and is about listening to Him.

I have fallen in these categories of doing and of placing the emphasis on the sign and wonders of revival. Have not really care on what I can or cannot get, I feel that God has given me more than enough. But doing and seeking signs and wonders became an obsession to me. I even joined a church because I felt that it was connected to the Azusa Street Revival, only to find out that it is filled with so much heresy and lies, that all they have is an image and a form of godliness that is leading people astray. People are so far away from the truth that they don’t even have an understanding of the foundational doctrine of salvation. I am not looking for a black church, a white church, a Baptist church, Pentecostal or whatever church, I am looking for people that are seeking and honoring God’s truths.

Today, I try to focus on doing what I see the Father doing (John 5:19). If Jesus was subject by what the Father was doing and not His own will, why should I? The reality is that I have jump on some things thinking that it was God and quickly discover that it was not; it was my own desire. These were good things, but out of timing and out of God’s blessings. So I step back and wait and try to enjoy my Heavenly Daddy every day.

I am not going forward with folks that do not understand foundational doctrines and others who only want to complaint about the church, but have no desire to change. In these things I am free, I do not have pressure to perform, my daily living does not depend on ministry. Like Paul, I make a living with my own hands. My next meal does not depend on your offering. I stand and wait, but always ready to minister to a family member, to a friend, to a coworker, the stranger on the street and the thousands who still follow this blog. If that is all I am called to do, I am ok with that; I am at peace.

Two years in Alaska, about to start my own business and coming together with my brothers and sisters at The Church of God in North Pole. So help me God!

La Bendición del Arrepentimiento

d2a432737

The Blessing of Repentance

I believe that part of our problem is that we do not want to change. Deep inside our hearts we are very please with the way we are. We have a very good assessment of who we turn out to be and a narrative of life that covers us alone the way. To make matters worst, many times Jesus is not even a part of that narrative, if that is the case then your heart is filled with pride.

What makes us proud is not necessarily the way we talk, the way we walk, the clothing we wear, the car we drive or the house we live in. What makes us proud is the idea that we do not need to change; therefore, what we are really communicating is that we do not need God.

Look at presidential candidate Donald Trump; he stated that he does not have a need for repentance; he just move on and try to make things better, he said. He added that if he does things right there is no need to repent of anything. That sounds good, however it is not Biblical.

The Bible tells us that we are all guilty, that we all sin and there is not even one that is good. But folks like Donald Trump feel like they are good people. The world is filled with people who think that way. It is extremely difficult to minister to people with this mindset. Which is the reason why today’s days, the Gospel is so rejected. That is the reason why in many churches they preach about many things, but never about the need for repentance. Preaching repentance is the worst sermon you can preach to prideful people.

The problem is that without repentance we can’t enter God’s Kingdom. God accept you the way you are, but you must repent for who you have been and you must receive Jesus as your Savior and Lord.

The Bible tells us that Repentance is a good thing; it is indeed God’s goodness that leads us into repentance (Romans 2:4). May the Lord help us to search our hearts today, to walk in humility and to receive the blessing of repentance.
