Somewhere in our history, politicians gave more value to charisma, images, protocols, nice speeches and intentions over RESULTS, FACTS and REALITY.

Somewhere in history we allowed others to tell us how to think. We allowed the press to manipulate us into who to vote for. We contributed to the destruction of characters, un-forgiveness and the continual judgment even after sincere repentance took place, for those who dare run for officer.

Somewhere in history we embraced HATE over LOVE and got comfortable with calling the truth of God’s Word, evil. So now we are witnessing a society where absolutes no longer matter; where 2 plus 2 is no longer 4, but whatever I feel it should be.

I encourage my readers to pay close attention, not to ideologies or political parties, but to the AGENDA and to the RESULS. I have the feeling, by looking at the first week of this new President, that style, protocols, images and fancy speeches are out the window, but by God, this may be a presidency of RESULTS!

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles‬ ‭7:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

America is hurting, America is divided, America is angry and bitter. As we honor and pray for our new president, may us, God’s people, humble ourselves, seek his face and turn from our wicked ways. May the Lord hear our prayers, forgive our iniquity, transgressions and sin and heal our land. May the church come together under the banner of God’s Word, by the Spirit of God and under a blanket filled with Christ’s blood. May we all, as one nation, find ourselves under the shadow of God’s wing. May forgiveness be formed in our hearts and may we become, one family under God!

The Baby Boomers, Generation X and The Millennials

baby-boomers_2613902b

As I was praying this morning I started thinking about the three generations that I am personally in contact with; the Baby Boomer’s Generation, those born between 1946 to 1964, Generation X, those born between 1965 to 1979, and The Millennials, those born from 1980 to 2000. I was particularly concern about the fact that the Baby Boomers were the last generation that did better than their parents financially speaking.

Generation X, in general, is not doing better than their parents; that is my generation! And, in general, the Millennials are not doing better than us. I was tempted to blame it on the government just like everybody else, but then, I felt the Lord saying:

“Come I will show you the root of the matter!

They are reaping what they are sowing. “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” Galatians 6:7 (NIV)

Am I limited by political systems? Since when did the government become the provider? Can a government, any government be more powerful than me? Generation after generation they refuse to acknowledge my knowledge and me. The ancient paths of my wisdom they despise as if they have better answers.

Entertainment has become your gods. Coldness is taking the place of human empathy and compassion. Life is loosing value! Come to me and be reconcile with the Father, come to me and receive my joy and my peace.

Parents must come to me! For I have given them authority to be fathers and mothers, but they have also rejected me; they have also rejected my knowledge.

The baby boomers taught that it was ok, that it was worth it to sacrifice time with God and family for the sake of big houses and luxury cars. The devil told them that it was ok to stay busy, to work those extra hours, to sacrifice the weekends and to idolize money. The devil told them that it was ok to live a prayer less life, to ignore my Spirit and to have others speak into the life of their own children.

The baby boomers are dying and I ask, how much of their wealth can they take with them?

I speak to the Baby Boomer generation, REPENT, says the Lord, for you found it ok to sacrifice time with me, you idolized your careers and making money over me and your families. You let the devil raised your children; you gave them material things, but they have become empty souls; you did not teach them the value of work, earning things and responsibility, but most of all, you did not teach them to love and acknowledge me.

Repent you Generation X, for you refuse to parent your children all together, you dropped them off at day cares, you put a TV in their rooms, you bought them cell phones and allow them to get lost in social media. You just wanted for your kids to be happy, but you forgot that my joy is their strength; you forgot that only I can give them the peace that overpasses all understanding. You have now created this monster that does not know how to socialize, does not know the value of family and, with no conviction ignores me and my Word.

millenialgeneration

I say to you Baby Boomers, to you Generation X and to you Millennials repent! For your iniquity is great before me. Repent for your rebellions and confess your sins before me. Come to me; for I will separate a remnant out of these three generations and they will begin to turn to me; they will come to the end of themselves, they will be honest about their emptiness and cry out to me. I will blot out their iniquities and transgressions and forgive their sins. They will be my examples and show the world that I am God.

Race Relations in the Church

o-church-pew-facebook

No, I am not asking questions regarding race relations in America; I am asking question regarding race relations in the church specifically. Is the 11th hour on Sundays continues to be the most segregated hour in the United States of America? I believe so! And if that is so, why? Oh no doubts that progress have been made in churches all across this beautiful country, but how many multicultural churches can you find? I know there are a few… yes, a few!

For the most part people accommodate themselves in a very comfortable zone where the preacher looks and talks like them and where the music is “just right” according to their personal taste. Anything that deviates from that, is not only, not acceptable, but “not of God”; at least that’s the way some see it!

Now, one can also argue that white churches in general have the tendency to be more doctrinally sound, however, cold in their expression of praise and exaltation of God. For the most part, in a white church you will hear a message that actually comes out of the Bible, but you will not hear much rhythm, you will not hear much clapping, it will be a miracle if you see dancing, (that may be a good thing!) and you will not hear verbal exaltations of our God. For the most part they take a very dignify position. The music is slow and low and basically “Loud” is not acceptable. “Loud” is considered an expression of the flesh and an instrument well and passionately play may be considered a showoff expression.

Now, on the other side, with the black churches, for the most part, you will get that good rhythm, the voices will be loud, you will actually hear the drums, you will hear shouts and they will not only dance, but run all over the building without running into each other. However, for the most part, especially in the Pentecostal/Charismatic wing on the church, the message will appear to be biblical, but somehow, someway the Bible portion that the preacher took the time to read at the beginning of his sermon, after he finished saluting, recognizing and honoring the deacons, the elders, the bishops and/or anybody else, have no connection with the message whatsoever. Theologically and doctrinally speaking, for the most part, black churches are hurting.

Now, back to the multicultural churches; every single one I seen, have something in common; the senior pastor is white. Is there any strong multicultural church with a black pastor as the leader that includes a healthy participation of the strong white man as a member? I have not seen one yet. You can get the white woman to be a part of a church where the Pastor/Elder is black, but with the exception a of a very few white males, segregation continues.

Perhaps, no other country in the world has to deal with this mess as closely as America, but that is our condition now. I do not blame the white male for refusing to serve under a black church where the pastor is not honoring and respecting the Word as he should. That is not racism; that is actually obedience to the Word! I can’t blame a black man for refusing to serve in a church where he needs to keep his soul down and low from praising the Lord! On this matter, the Bible supports the black man’s position also.

What I do know is that before the coming of the Lord we will be a family, we will be the family of God under the culture of HIS Word.

Making America Great Again

67492

This is the fair question of an older black man, when was America great? The implication is that America was never great. The greatness of an individual, the greatness of a family and a town is not based on our own definitions; the greatness of a nation is found in God.

America is flesh and like every other nation, flesh delights in evil and is always in opposition to God. That part of America produced the most evil events this world has ever seen.   America is soul, a selfish soul who followed her own will. This is the America that justifies evil or ignores it all together. The soul of America is sick and in need of restoration. But America is also spirit and in there she has found her greatest chapters; a spirit who was led by God and brought conviction to the soul to fix what obviously needed to be fixed. America moved forward, but unforgiveness and hate is sickening the soul; America is now angry and bitter.

There is inly one way for you and me to be great, for our families to be great, our communities and yes… America to be great again. Psalm 33:12 tells us, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.” (New King James Version)

There is the greatness of America; in every righteous prayer, in tars of repentance, in a sincere cry for revival, in every life lost for the freedom of all people, in those who did not remain silent and condemned the injustices that society legally instituted against those who were different. America was great when they feared and trembled at the hands of an angry God (Psalm 7:11). The recognition that this God of love is also angry with the sinner sparked a life changing revival that became the fire that burns in the American conscience.

I hope for America to become great again and if some want to argue that it was never great, then know that the expiration date on hope has not yet arrive.
