5 Biblical Truths that Are Currently Rejected by the Mainstream Culture in the USA

For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9 (ESV)

God’s ways are not only different from ours, but indescribably better. The very wisdom of the world, the best men have to offer, is foolishness before the Lord (1 Cor. 3:19). We may not understand God, but Hisjudgments are truth and righteous (Psalm 19:9). He is All Knowing (1 John 3:20). God is the Alpha and the Omega… who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty. Revelation 1:8 (ESV). We, on the other side, are dust (Psalm 103:14).

God can actually challenge each one of  us with the same questions he challenged Job in Job 38 to 40 starting with, “Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?…” It did not get any better for Job from there. God ended by stating, “…Shall a faultfinder contend with the Almighty? He who argues with God, let him answer it.” Job 40:1-2 (ESV). Job answered by stating, “Behold, I am of small account; what shall I answer you? I lay my hand on my mouth. I have spoken once, and I will not answer; twice, but I will proceed no further.” Job 40:4-5 (ESV)

Job understood how small he was compared to God, but the secular world: the mainstream media, the progressive social media, the liberal entertainment industry, the corrupt politicians and the far-left sports figures never will, unless they are born again. The secular world will always enslave his people with immorality. The secular world will always advocate for Satan’s agenda.

Let’s now take a look at 5 Biblical truths that are currently rejected by the mainstream culture in the USA. I am sure we can find more, but these 5 are obvious. Anybody that dares to teach on these topics from a biblical point of view will be hated and ridiculed by the world.

  • Everybody is responsible for making their own living not the Government
and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life and attend to your own business and work with your hands, just as we commanded you, First Thessalonians 4:11 (NASB 1995)
For even when we were with you, we used to give you this order: if anyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat, either.
2 Thessalonians 3:10 (NASB 1995)

I said this often, the Adversary has found a way to destroy people, especially minorities, particularly blacks, Latinos and Native American with the welfare system. It has been the kindness way of destroying our potential as human beings. Many rather be on welfare than to work. Many, and this is in all races, rather get a disability check; they rather fight to prove a sickness, than to seek healing or arrive to the Apostle Paul’s conclusion that, even in the midst of any sickness, God’s grade is sufficient (2 Corinthians 12:8-9).

  • In the Bible there are only two genders, male and female
When Jesus had finished these words, He departed from Galilee and came into the region of Judea beyond the Jordan; and large crowds followed Him, and He healed them there. Some Pharisees came to Jesus, testing Him and asking, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason at all?” And He answered and said, “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.”
Matthew 19:1-6 (NASB 1995)

This is a huge one! In todays’ American culture, this one can really get you in trouble. This is a rebellion against God’s creation, the devil himself is behind this. The devil heard what God said in Genesis 3:15, “And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.” (NASB 1995) The devil has come against our seed ever since.

The Adversary has managed to find ways to genetically, spiritually and morally corrupt God’s creation. There is nothing new under sun (Ecclesiastes 1:9). The rebellion in the Garden in Genesis 3; the rebellion of the fallen angels having sex with women in Genesis 6 and, the rebellion of the Tower of Babel as the nations of the known world turned against God in Genesis 11 pointed at one thing, the Adversaries attempts to corruption God’s creation. This obsession with adding genders that do not exist, flows out this same rebellious spirit against God and his creation. It is the idea of transforming humans into what they are not; it is all about corrupting God’s holy bloodline.

The detailed genealogies that we see in Scripture are hard and, at times, boring to follow, but they are there so we can see the pure blood line from Adam to Noah to Abraham and all the way to the Messiah. Side by side with this holy bloodline, there is an evil one that will always be against God’s creation, His righteousness and his plan of salvation.

  • Homosexuality and Same Sex Marriage is an abomination
You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination. Leviticus 18:22 (NASB 1995)
If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their blood guiltiness is upon them. Leviticus 20:13 (NASB 1995)
For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27 and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28 And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, Romans 1:26-28 (NASB 1995)

The word abomination in Leviticus 18:22 is the Hebrew word, tōʿēḇāh “This word is primarily understood in the context of the Law. It identifies unclean food (Deut. 14:3); the activity of the idolater (Isa. 41:24); the practice of child sacrifice (Deut. 12:31); intermarriage by the Israelites (Mal. 2:11); the religious activities of the wicked (Prov. 21:27); and homosexual behavior (Lev. 18:22). In a broader sense, the word is used to identify anything offensive (Prov. 8:7).[1]

In Leviticus 20:13 the Bible uses the word detestable; that is the same Hebrew word used in Leviticus 18:22. In Romans Paul states that because they abandoned their natural function God gave them over a deprave mind. The Greek word for deprave is the word adókimos; meaning, “Unapproved, unworthy, spurious, worthless. In a pass. sense meaning disapproved, rejected, cast away (1 Cor. 9:27; 2 Cor. 13:5–7; Heb. 6:8 [cf. 2 Tim. 3:8; Titus 1:16]). With an act. usage meaning undiscerning, not distinguishing, void of judgment (Rom. 1:28); although in this text it may be understood in the pass.: a reprobate abominable mind, a mind to be abhorred by God and man.[2]

There is no other way to look at homosexuality and same sex marriage; this is the way God looks at that sin: it is detestable before the Lord and, the end result of this sin is a deprave mind. Look at what the LGBQ Mental Health pamphlet have to say,

We use “sexuality” to describe the ways an individual experiences (or doesn’t experience) attraction, and the related identity they claim for themself. Although the LGBQ acronym stands for lesbiangaybisexual, and queer/questioning, each identity may mean something different to the individual who holds it — everyone’s sexuality is unique. Many people identify with one, many, or none of these labels. On Brown’s campus queer is often used as an umbrella term that can include all (a)genders and (a)sexualities outside of cisgender/heterosexual. If you do not feel comfortable using these labels, or any other, you do not need to. *This pamphlet is specifically directed for students who identify as LGBQ, though it may also contain information relevant to ace-spectrum folks, trans folks, or folks with other identities.[3]

In other words, you are what you feel; there are no absolutes. God is taken completely out of the picture.

  • The husband is the head of the wife
For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. Ephesian 5:23 (NASB 1995)

Let me make clear that the authority of men is not greater than the authority of God. The Me-Too movement falls short in comparison to God’s standards. God does not approve sexual harassment, fornication or adultery. God gives the husband the mandate of loving his wife; but also give the wife the mandate of respecting her husband (Ephesians 5:23). That is the holy balance. The man is not called to rule over his wife, but to love her; nevertheless, he is the head, not the wife.

  • Abortion is a sin
Now the word of the Lord came to me saying,“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:4-5 (NASB 1995)

This nation is divided on this topic also; nevertheless, the advocates of abortion are gaining more ground. Pay attention to what a nation does to his children; you can always judge that the end is near when culture allow the sacrifice of children. Again, Satan is in the business of corrupting God’s creation, but he is also in the business of killing children. God has a covenant with Israel and, because of that covenant God will ultimately save them; however, they fell into the same judgment of the rest of the nations of the world by sacrificing their own children. Psalm 106:34-43 tells us,

They did not destroy the peoples,
    as the Lord commanded them,
35 but they mixed with the nations
and learned to do as they did.
36 They served their idols,
which became a snare to them.
37 They sacrificed their sons
    and their daughters to the demons;
38 they poured out innocent blood,
the blood of their sons and daughters,
whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan,
and the land was polluted with blood.
39 Thus they became unclean by their acts,
and played the whore in their deeds.
40 Then the anger of the Lord was kindled against his people,
    and he abhorred his heritage;
41 he gave them into the hand of the nations,
so that those who hated them ruled over them.
42 Their enemies oppressed them,
and they were brought into subjection under their power.
43 Many times he delivered them,
but they were rebellious in their purposes
and were brought low through their iniquity. (ESV)

The sin of sacrificing their own children to idols was and is at the center of the nations that rebelled against God in the Tower of Babel. Even before we are formed in our mother’s womb God already knew us and had a plan for us as he did with the Prophet Jeremiah. The blood of each one of these babies is crying out before God just like the blood of Abel, who was murdered by his brother Cain, cried out before God (Genesis 4:10).

Conclusion

These are some of the hardest topics for the church to teach about today; notice that many completely stay clear of these. The time will come when the government will make the discussion of these topics, from a biblical perspective, illegal. Many will cave in because they are more interested in the money their mega churches are bringing in than in God’s righteousness. Other, I am convinced, will be forced to meet in secret, from home to home; but be encourage, Jesus is speaking to us today just like he spoke with Peter by saying,

And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Matthew 16:18 (ESV)
