The environmental folks are really concern about global warming and air pollution. In their assessment they totally ignored the roll sin plays on damaging the earth and the fact that our air is filled with demonic activity. Paul tells us in Ephesians 2:1-2,

And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— (ESV)

When we look at how crazy the world is right now and how the good seems to be bad and the bad seems to be good, we, as believers, must understand that there are demonic powers in operation; that the sons of disobedient are at work; corrupt politicians, Hollywood, the press and everybody following this twisted progressive agenda. What is messing us up is sin. The Bible also tells us in Romans 8:19-21,

For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. (ESV)

The word Futility is the Greek Word mataiótēs; meaning, “worthlessness”[1] The word bondage is Greek Word douleía; meaning “to be a slave.”[2] The word corruption is the Greek Word phthorá; meaning “to corrupt, ruin, decay, generally a fraying or wasting away.[3] We can conclude that because of sin the earth is worthless, enslaved and corrupt. The hope of the earth is not the Green Deal or anything else that the government has to offer. The hope of the earth is in the fulfillment of God’s will, in the righteous manifestation of God’s people. Let the world ridicule us, let the world twist the truth and spread their ungodliness; let them continue to pollute the air with their lies. At the end, when everything is set and done, it will be us standing by the grace of God.
