Pain to Remain and Pain to Change

When humans have had enough, they start doing something about whatever challenging circumstances they are facing, problems in the marriage, health concerns, careers, etc. Humans are unstoppable when they truly make up their minds. In Genesis 11:6, God says regarding the folks that were building the Tower of Babel,

The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. (NIV)

This is one of our most potent characteristics as humans; we are unstoppable when we genuinely want to do something: good or bad. However, in whatever direction you decide, you will have to deal with pain, the pain of having to stop certain things you enjoy, vs. the pain of staying in the same place day after day, month after month, year after year. The superb Life Coach Tony Robbins states, “Change happens when the pain of staying the same is greater than the pain of change.”

Whether you need counseling to deal with the unresolved issues of the past or Life Coaching to launch you into your vision and purpose, you will have to deal with the issue of pain. Many speak about the need to do something different, but very few do something about it.

So, you may have diabetes; you can feel the symptoms, always thirsty, always in the bathroom urinating, constantly tired, always hungry, etc. But that is not enough for you to step into action. You know you must do something, but the pain of stopping eating donuts and bagels for breakfast with a cup of coffee with sugar is more significant than your symptoms or diabetes. By the time some get it, they have already lost a toe or a leg or are plunging into erectile dysfunction. For some, it will take that much for the pain of remaining the same to exceed the pain of changing.

If you are ready for change, call me right now, don’t hesitate. Let’s deal with those issues of the past, and let’s launch into the fulfillment of your destiny.
